The prints and kanji are finished and the mask removed, I missed a couple of spots when applying it but it's not a big deal, I painted out of the masking fluid at some spots too lol, don't ask me how but those doesn't look bad either, kind of interesting, or maybe I'm just being delusional, anyway the next time I sit to paint I'll be working with my old good watercolors on those large white lanterns, can't wait!

It looks mostly pure black, right? I don't have any close up to share but there're indeed a lot of patterns in those blacks.

You have such patience with this painting and it is paying off. Hope your weekend is much better than your work week was. :)
Wow! This is going to be fantastic, Teresa! Beautiful! I wish I had your patience. I love this.
It's another hell of a week Ann but I'm happily painting anyway so YAY!!! You'll get tired of these updates, I want to finish it already.
Deb, you'll feel my pain soon with that temple you're planing! can't wait to see the steps :)
Looks like we're into the same stuff - I like this! You probably have checked out Judy Morris, she does great asian-theme stuff.
If it's asian I'm in!
Yes, Rhonda pointed at her to show me an awesome painting of bubbles in a bath, she does some incredible work, I've only managed to find a couple of her asian stuff though, gotta search for more.
Teresa,
Thanks for the compliment over on my blog, I've seen your work and have been watching your blog for awhile now I just seldom comment I do not believe my 2 cents is worth a penny, so I seldom spend it (in the way of commenting, that is)
So anyway keep up the great work!!!!
Hey Paul, I'm more of a lurker too, I love to have you around either you're commenting or just visiting :)
